“Time in Nature” Tree Blind-dating workshop
During the summer of 2023, I seized the opportunity to organize a workshop for University tutors under “Time in Nature”, encouraging them to incorporate the essence of nature into their teaching across diverse disciplines such as fashion, computational arts, photography, and animation. Our focus revolved around the themes of "work in," "work with," and "work for."
The workshop I created in called "tree blind dating," where participants were blindfolded and was invited to interact with a tree. They then channeled the energy from this experience into a man-made object using visual language. The outcomes varied, with some participants producing remarkable mark-making using tree branches, while others opted for figurative chalk drawings on the ground.
To add a playful element to the workshop, I curated a zine, trying to immerse illustration with teaching in the natural environment.
